- Working closely as part of a small team in particular as a support to the Office Manager
- Answering reservation emails (using Microsoft Outlook) and making bookings
- Working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Meeting and greeting new clients in a professional manner
- Preparing accommodation for clients arrival
- Checking new clients into their accommodation
- Carrying out inspections on accommodation and writing reports on same
- Answering the telephone and taking messages
- Taking rent payments (cash handling)
- Updating company databases ( knowledge of Excel essential)
- Identifying new business opportunities in the market and promoting our services
- Assisting the branch manager and team with the daily duties such as preparing welcome packs for clients, general office administration and other ad hoc duties
- Providing excellent levels of customer care at all times
- Assisting the team in organising events at various intervals during the year
The candidate will be required to work 5 days per week, this will include evening and weekend work. 2 days off per week are provided for all interns.
This is an unpaid internship position with immediate start for a period of 6 months.

Ideal candidates will have a fluency in French and English, additional languages would be an advantage.

Temporary Opening of an owl bar in London
London citizens, will soon have the right to drink a beer and to pet some owls at the same time. Indeed, like in Japan before, a temporary owl bar is about to open in London between the 19th of March and 25th in the popular Soho area of the city.
Because owl are night birds, the bar will only be open at special hours, from 8.30 pm until 2 am. Also to insure and to protect the kindness of the birds two specialists will always be present in the room in case of any trouble.
However this experience has a price, and if you want to be a part of it, you’ll have to pay 20£ (27 euros) with two drinks included, and to be randomly selected from the 65,000 other contestants. All the money raised will go to the Barn Owl Centre which is in charge of the protection of the birds.

Game of Thrones fans are going to love it, HBO and Sky (UK Broadcaster) just announced that the Season 5 world premiere will be held in London on the 18th of March and not in a common place, because the show will be held in Tower of London.
HBO is organizing a contest for all the fans that would like to be a part of this amazing event but you’ll have to be very lucky to be one of the 25 winner fans of the contest.
Director of Sky Atlantic in the UK, Zai Bennett said: "Game of Thrones is the must see show of the year and a massive show for Sky Atlantic so I am delighted we will be hosting the World Premiere for this epic show at the Tower of London. I can't think of a more fitting venue to give what promises to be another unmissable series its big launch."

Boris Johnson, the mayor of London just decided to equip the city with a “super highway” for bicycles. The rank will be 4 meters large and 30 km long. It will go across the entire city (from East to West) passing in front of Big Ben, Westminster and Hyde Park. Another, highway is planned to be created to go from North to South and long of 5km.
The construction should begin in March and finish in 2016, and would cost around £161 million. The director of London Bicycle association Ben Bogdanowicz said “It’s going to be a real change for London citizens”.

The French aeronautic company Airbus has just found an agreement with the British government to open a new construction branch in London. The company hires more than 10.000 people in the UK and is working with more than 400 subcontractors, which represent approximately 100.000 direct and indirect jobs. This new contract will reinforce the presence of Airbus in the UK and increase the production of planes on British territory.
This agreement has been accepted for two reasons that are good for both parts: Airbus made it to negotiate a reduction on taxes, after the unexpected success of their plane A320, and the British government accepted to get a bigger assurance that Airbus will continue to hire workers in the UK.
According to the Sunday Times, the British government has accepted to lose hundreds millions of future royalties linked to the construction in Broughton factory in order to preserve jobs.
The cinema company Warner Bros just announced that they plan to recreate the atmosphere of the Hogwarts Express for the exposition about the Harry Potter universe that will start in March. The studios that have already a surface of 14.000 m² which will welcome Dumbledore’s office, the big Hogwarts Dinning room and also the exact replica of the train that was used in the original movie.
The 9 3/4 platform that you can already see at King’s Cross rail station (5 minutes from Saint Pancras), will be also in the exposition. This exposition is part of the Harry Potter experience launched at the same time as the theme park “The Wizarding world of Harry Potter” in Orlando, Florida that began in 2012 takes place 30 km from London and is situated near the Leavesden Studios in the Warner Bros Studios, London. Tony Pulis, the manager of West Bromwich Albion just announced yesterday that his new challenge (after the challenge of keeping WBA in Premier League) would be to join Paris from London by rowing.
The manager is not at his first sportive try, by the past he used to climb Kilimandjaro, to ride between John O'Groats and Lands End (970 km) and also he finished two marathons.
He won’t be alone on his new challenge, a lot of British sportsmen already accepted to join him and to help him.
The money that this challenge will earn will be given to the charity association: Donna Louise that helps children in the hospitals.
Fans of the series will be pleased to know that the Exhibition of Game of Thrones will return for the third year in a row to allow fans to check out more than 70 pieces of costumes, weapons and props from the series.
The exhibition will be held at the O2 Arena in London and is the first step of the GoT Exhibition worldwide tour. The next destinations will be Tel Aviv, Madrid, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris.
In London, fans will be able to visit the exhibition on Feb 9 -12 and Feb 15 – 17. The exhibition will include everything from House banners to swords, jewellery to a replica of the Iron Throne.

Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland has opened last weekend and will stay in the Park for five more weeks. It’s open every day from 10am to 10pm until 4th January.
